The Kansas City Chapter of IFMA is hosting a CFM Exam Review
Course January 27-28, 2009. If you have ever considered pursuing the professional credentials of CFM, now is the time
to take action. This will be the only time this year this course will be offered in the Kansas City area!
The objective of the
course is to provide a fundamental overview of all of IFMA’s Core Competencies. In addition, it allows you to take a
"sample" exam, with questions very similar to what you might see on the actual exam.
Course instructor will be KC Chapter member,
Teena Shouse, CFM, Past IFMA National Board Chair, and Senior FM Consultant for Facility Engineering Associates in Fairfax,
VA. The course will be from 8-5, Tuesday and Wednesday, January 27-28, and will include continental breakfast and lunch each
day. It will be held in the Training Facilities of the beautiful, newly constructed NBRC/AMP Corporate Headquarters at 18000
W. 105th St., Olathe, KS.
The KC Chapter has significantly underwritten the cost of bringing this course to Kansas City with
the primary goal of encouraging more members to become CFMs! The KC Chapter has graciously extended their member cost of $250
to our chapter. Non-Chapter Members will be $350. The fee for this course is normally $495 when taken outside the area, plus
you would have the additional costs of travel, hotel, food, etc.
Registration will soon be available on the KC IFMA web site. In the meantime,
if you have questions or want further information, please feel free to contact Linda DeTienne, KC Professional Development
Chair, at 636-5700, or detienne@ncricat.com.
